How to change the font size in Confluence Cloud
Confluence Cloud has no font size setting: every reader gets the same text size and line spacing. If long pages tire your readers, or some of them are low-vision or dyslexic, here are the options.
Built into Confluence and the browser
- Page width: a page's author can switch it between fixed and full width (the ↔ button while editing). That changes the line length, not the text size.
- Browser zoom: each reader can press Ctrl and + (Cmd and + on a Mac). It enlarges everything, including menus and sidebars, and has to be redone on each device.
- Headings and text styles in the editor change a part of a page, not the default reading size.
With Tintboard for Confluence
- Install Tintboard for Confluence from the Atlassian Marketplace (free for up to 10 users).
- Open Confluence settings → Tintboard reading comfort. Set a site default for text size (14–20 px), line spacing (1.4–2.0) and reading width, and a space default for spaces that need something different.
- Install the Tintboard browser extension, or let IT install it for everyone.
Every page and blog post then reads at those settings, in light and dark themes. Each reader can still choose their own text size, spacing and width from the extension's toolbar button, and their choice overrides the defaults. The page content itself never changes. Get started.
